At DermaBreak, we stand behind the science of our brand. However, to protect our small business from "return abuse" and ensure we can continue offering high-quality products to our honest customers, we enforce a strict, contractual return policy. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms below.
1. The DermaBreak™ 30-Day Ritual Guarantee (Opened Items)
We believe real skin change requires consistency. To prevent frivolous returns, our guarantee is governed by the following mandatory requirements:
* The 14-Day Mandatory Trial: Skin cell turnover and adjustment to Bakuchiol take time. You are required to use the product for a minimum of 14 days before initiating a return. Requests made prior to 14 days of delivery will not be authorized.
* The 30-Day Hard Window: Return requests must be initiated between Day 15 and Day 30 of your delivery date. No exceptions will be made for requests outside this window.
* The 50% Usage Rule: To prevent "empty bottle" fraud, the returned product must contain at least 50% of its original contents. Items returned nearly empty will be denied a refund and disposed of.
* First-Time Purchase Only: This guarantee is a one-time courtesy for first-time customers of a specific product. It does not apply to repeat orders or subscriptions.
2. Standard Returns (Unopened Items)
For items that are unopened, unused, and in their original heat-sealed or boxed packaging:
* Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
* Hygiene Safety: Due to the personal-care nature of our products, any item that has had its safety seal broken or packaging opened is considered "Used" and falls under the "Ritual Guarantee" terms (including restocking fees).
3. Required Verification Process
To stop "empty box" or "not as described" scams, we require documentation before a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is issued.
To initiate any return, you MUST email info@dermabreak.com with:
* Your Order Number.
* Clear Photos of the product bottle showing the remaining volume.
* Clear Photos of the original packaging.
* A brief explanation of why the product did not meet your expectations.
Note: Return requests that do not include the required photos will be closed automatically.
4. Restocking Fees & Non-Refundable Costs
Returns are a significant cost to small businesses. We do not subsidize the cost of "trying out" products at our expense.
* Restocking/Disposal Fee: All authorized returns for opened/used products (under the Ritual Guarantee) are subject to a 15% Restocking and Sanitization Fee. This fee will be deducted from your final refund.
* Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable service (USPS/UPS); we are not responsible for returns lost in transit.
5. Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged, you must report it within 7 days of delivery.
* Evidence Required: You must provide photos of the damaged item, the shipping box, and the shipping label.
* Resolution: Upon verification, we will provide a pre-paid return label and ship a replacement at no cost to you.
6. Serial Returner & Fraud Policy
We track return frequency across our customer database.
* Return Abuse: DermaBreak reserves the right to refuse service to any individual with a history of "serial returning" (returning more than 50% of their lifetime orders).
* Fraudulent Claims: If a customer returns a different item, an empty box, or a product that fails the 50% usage rule, the refund will be denied, the account will be banned, and the incident may be reported to the payment processor as attempted fraud.
7. How to Return
* Ensure you have met the 14-day trial requirement.
* Email info@dermabreak.com with the required photos mentioned in Section 3.
* If approved, you will receive an RMA number and the return address (Kenansville, NC).
* Ship the item back within 7 days of approval.
* Once inspected (usually 5–10 business days), we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
